Halloween Party 2004!This year we combined our fiendish party efforts with Katy and Doc Scott, who turned out to be just as sick and twisted as we always suspected! They contributed to decorations, ideas, food and overall creepiness. And most of the pictures here were taken by Doc, since I apparently can't wear a costume that allows me to use a camera...To see the invite for this year's party, click here!Scroll Down to all the photos, Or click on a category to jump to that section.Costume WinnersOverall PartyHouse Decorations: Night ExteriorHouse Decorations: Daytime ExteriorHouse Decorations: InteriorMaking Decorations and Props

House Decorations: Nighttime
The house turned out exceptionally well this year. We got lots of comments and slowed traffic. Really. The lighting gave it a nice touch and the boarded-up doors and windows really upped the creep factor! We had a fog machine going in the graveyard, hooked up to a chiller to keep the fog low to the ground, for additional effect. Unfortunately, the fog is hard to see in the photos. The cemetary fence turned out well and we had about 32 feet of it, complete with real iron finials! We also added three new tombstones to the group. Adelaide (young girl who fell through the ice), The Randalls (one murdered the other and then was hanged for it) and Samuel, who was witty to the end. I think they turned out very well, especially since I made them from foam insulation... |

House Decorations: Interior
Doing the "Theatre of Pain" was a lot of fun. Katy and Doc had an old TV available for a prop, which is what started the whole idea rolling. Doc and I made it so the skeleton that had smashed his head into the TV would thrash around like it was being electrocuted when someone walked too near. Ah, the fun you can have with cheap motion sensors and a little imagination. Doc also made the fake vomit since, apparently, fake vomit is a novelty you can no longer purchase... |

Making Decorations and Props
We started making stuff in August and were without the use of our garage for about two months. Unfortunately, when you're making things, you often forget to take pictures. So what little we have is here, mostly showing off the different projects in their various states of (in)completion. |
